Global
Pooled cognitive frailty prevalence was 12.2% (95% CI 9.4%-15.7%). Estimates varied substantially by frailty and cognitive instruments; publication-bias analysis suggested prevalence might be underestimated.
Very high methodological heterogeneity; prevalence rather than intervention/outcome evidence; definition of cognitive frailty varies; cross-sectional component dominates many included studies.
Community-dwelling older adults across 66 studies
Cognitive frailty is common enough to justify attention, but prevalence depends heavily on how both frailty and cognition are measured. This is stronger as a case for multidomain assessment and research standardisation than as a mandate for universal screening with one specific tool.
